Recent enactment's - Republic Act No. 8282 or the "Social Security System Act of 1997," Republic Act No. 8291 or the "Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Act of 1997," Republic Act No. 7699 or the "Limited Portability Scheme," Republic Act No. 7875, or the "National Health Insurance Act of 1995," Republic Act No. 7742, or the "Pag-IBIG Fund," and Republic Act No. 8425," or the "Social Reform and Poverty Alleviation Act" - have introduced significant changes on the health, safety and social welfare benefits of all workers. Hence, relevant provisions of these laws are included under this Book.

TITLE III - MEDICARE
Article 209. Medical Care. (Repealed by Section 57 of Republic Act No. 7875 or the "National Health Insurance Act of 1995.")
Section 57 of R.A. No 7875. Repealing Clause.- Executive Order No.119, Presidential Decree No.1519 and other laws currently applying to the administration of Medicare are hereby repealed. All other laws, executive orders, administrative rules and regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are also hereby amended, modified, or repealed accordingly.
TITLE IV - ADULT EDUCATION
Article 210. Adult Education. - Every employer shall render assistance in the establishment and operation of adult education programs for their workers and education programs for their workers and employees as prescribed by regulations jointly approved by the Department of Labor and Employment and Department of Education, Culture and Sports.
