A total of 604 new safety officers from 366 companies attended 12 batches of the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training held in cooperation with the Occupational Safety and Health Networks (OSHNets) this May.
The BOSH Training is one of the 40-hour mandatory trainings for safety officers. Under the Occupational Safety and Health Standards, a sufficient number of safety officers, who have finished the BOSH Training, must be employed by all establishments. The number of safety officers depends on the number of workers for every shift.
The OSHC conducted BOSH Trainings at its main office in Quezon City and in Bacolod, Batangas, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Laguna, La Union, and Quezon.
